Description

Stag Jointing Paste (Type B – Red) 1 kg tin.

The paste is a thick, high-temperature, and lead-free sealant used for a variety of industrial and general engineering applications. It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and is suitable for sealing pipes and flanges, particularly those that may have uneven surfaces due to corrosion or heavy tool marks.

Key features

• Consistency: Thick, non-setting paste suitable for rough or uneven surfaces. For fittings larger than 1.5 inches, reinforcement with hemp or fiber is recommended.
• Temperature resistance: Provides a reliable seal in high-temperature environments, with a service temperature up to 650°C.
• Chemical resistance: Resistant to steam, water, brine, oil, gas, petrol, diesel, and various acids. It is suitable for use with town gas, natural gas, and on battery terminals to prevent sulphation.
• Pressure resistance: Capable of withstanding high pressures.
• Easy disassembly: The non-setting nature of the paste allows for easy dismantling of joints when needed.
• Application: Applied by brush to clean surfaces, free from dirt, oil, and grease.
